Forest of Bowland
If you fancy travelling a little further afield then we recommend paying the Forest of Bowland ANOB (area of natural beauty) a visit. From its beautiful woodlands, picturesque villages and moorlands, the Forest of Bowland provides an abundance of local cultural heritage and attractions to see and experience. Just a short distance from Aspden Fold Farm is a local historical attraction, Hoghton Tower, which is certainly worth a visit. The historical building takes its name from the de Hoghton family, its historical owners since at least the 12th century. The house is a popular visitor attraction, wedding & private function venue and has even been used for filming. Here you can enjoy some traditional afternoon tea while taking in the breath-taking views of the surrounding Ribble Valley.
