Our accommodation is ideally situated in the village of Samlesbury, nestled within the stunning Ribble Valley. We are situated to the east of Preston and the west of Blackburn, Accrington & Burnley. Located within the surroundings of Aspden Fold Farm, we provide our guests with a peaceful and private getaway whilst also having the option to explore many of the local attractions including Samlesbury Hall along with the local towns and villages.

Samlesbury Hall

If you can bring yourself to leave our luxury accommodation there are plenty of places to see and to visit in the local area. A short drive will take you to the wonderful, Grade I listed historic Samlesbury Hall, an elegant stately home, restaurant, and popular wedding venue for many couples.

It was built in 1325 by Gilbert de Southworth and was the main residence of the Southworth family until the early 17th century. Steeped in rich history, it is the perfect place to visit for a historical tour where you can take in its spooky ghost and witch stories.

If you fancy travelling a little further afield then we recommend paying the Forest of Bowland ANOB (area of natural beauty) a visit. From its beautiful woodlands, picturesque villages and moorlands, the Forest of Bowland provides an abundance of local cultural heritage and attractions to see and experience.

Home to some of the UK’s finest routes for walking, cycling, wildlife watching and star gazing the Forest of a Bowland is a location you need to pay a visit to.

Hoghton Tower

Just a short distance from Aspden Fold Farm is a local historical attraction, Hoghton Tower, which is certainly worth a visit. The historical building takes its name from the de Hoghton family, its historical owners since at least the 12th century.

The house is a popular visitor attraction, wedding & private function venue and has even been used for filming. Here you can enjoy some traditional afternoon tea while taking in the breath-taking views of the surrounding Ribble Valley.

We also highly encourage you to visit the lovely town of Lytham St Annes. The location is just a few miles away from Blackpool and provides plenty to see and do for individuals and families of all interests and ages.

The picturesque Fylde town is situated on a beautiful coastline lined with well-tended lawns, gorgeous parks, and even boating lanes. With a classy Victorian Pier, historic windmill and a royal golf course on hand, Lytham St Annes is an example which reminds us all why we love the British seaside so much.
